Cynthia Duff
Gallery Owner, Artist
Cynthia Duff, a Colorado native and accomplished visual artist, is widely known for her distinctive painting technique on birch wood, Over the course of her career, Cynthia has cultivated long-term relationships with world-class artists—connections built on mutual respect, collaboration, and a shared commitment to artistic excellence. These relationships inform and enrich the vision behind West Winds, a gallery created not only to showcase her own work, but to provide a lasting platform for other exceptional artists throughout the region.
With the launch of West Winds, Cynthia is making a meaningful investment in Grand Junction’s burgeoning art scene. The gallery is more than a showroom—it’s a vibrant creative hub celebrating craftsmanship, and offering collectors and art lovers access to some of the most compelling work emerging from the West today.
Cynthia’s passion for community, creativity, and connection lies at the heart of West Winds, and her vision promises to shape the cultural landscape of the Grand Valley for years to come.
Julie Carlson
Gallery Director
Julie Carlson is a seasoned marketing and events leader with over 20 years of experience spanning brand strategy, entertainment publicity, and talent representation and engagement. Her career includes agency and in-house roles supporting television networks, Fortune 100 brands, and national nonprofits, crafting campaigns and experiences that spark both visibility and connection.
A former entertainment publicist, Julie has led high-impact initiatives in celebrity relations, large-scale event production, and integrated marketing. Prior to joining West Winds, she served as Marketing and Events Director for The Art Center of Western Colorado, where she helped elevate the organization’s community presence through bold programming and strategic partnerships.
At West Winds, Julie partners closely with Cynthia to shape the gallery’s brand voice, public programming, and community reach. She brings a unique blend of creativity and execution, connecting artists, audiences, and opportunities in ways that are purposeful, polished, and deeply collaborative.
Now rooted in Grand Junction, Julie sees West Winds as both an anchor and an invitation, a space where creativity, craftsmanship, and connection converge.
